We work with some of the UKs leading main contractors and sub contractors who work across DNO networks such as SPEN, UKPN, SSE, NPG, WPD and ENW along with National grid from LV through to 400kV.

We have worked on some truly interesting projects from new greenfield substation builds, new battery storage solutions where we supported the main contractor with the installation of main switchgear boards and all associated control and protection panels, the installation of a new protection panel in the existing substations, installation of RMU’s, step-up transformers, PCS’s (inverters) and battery containers and monitoring system throughout the site through to large scale projects such as IFA2 where we also supported on both the Greedfield and the National Grid side of the converter station.

As well as substation works we have also supported on Windfarm projects supporting with the electrical works carried out by the main contractor comprised of; installation of 33kV cables, installation of fibre optic cable, earthing of turbine bases, substation installation of switchgear, turbine transformers, SCADA control, termination of 33kV cables, installation of LV power cabling into turbines from substations, building services installation, installation of harmonic filters, testing and commissioning of the complete installation

As well as substation works we also have experience of supporting with all other associated infrastructure such as OHL, Underground cabling and civil/ground work requirements.

From a skill set perspective we cover the full remit of professions (please see below) across DNO and none DNO authorised sites. We have an excellent working relationship with the DNO training centres which means we have the facility to book and pay for relevant substation access authorisation for our workers.

On the Highways side of things, Alex has worked on projects such as New Build Highways, Smart Motorway Upgrades, Highways Maintenance, Bridge Construction and Utility Infrastructure Projects such as Fibre To The Home (FFTH) in the residential sectors. These Projects has seen Alex supply both Main Contractors and Subcontractors with his knowledge of localised markets often coming in useful when his Main Contractor clients have been looking for reliable supply chain partners in areas of the country where they don't often deliver projects.
On the Construction side of things, Alex has mainly provided Permanent White-Collar "Search & Select" services to both Main Contractors and Subcontractors in sectors such as: Residential, Fit-out, Social Housing, and Civil Engineering. Blue-Collar Contingency Labour Supply on the construction side of things has been mainly delivered by Alex to the Social Housing sector, where he has provided multi-trade operatives on projects such as Environmental Works, Decent Home Upgrades and Kitchen/Bathroom Adaptations.
