Transmission & Distribution, Battery & Renewable Solutions, Power Generation

These are the sectors that Glenelly Recruitment started out with and are also the sectors that Sam has spent the last 7 years recruiting into.

We work with some of the UKs leading main contractors and sub contractors who work across DNO networks such as SPEN, UKPN, SSE, NPG, WPD and ENW along with National grid from LV through to 400kV.

We have worked on some truly interesting projects from new greenfield substation builds, new battery storage solutions where we supported the main contractor with the installation of main switchgear boards and all associated control and protection panels, the installation of a new protection panel in the existing substations, installation of RMU’s, step-up transformers, PCS’s (inverters) and battery containers and monitoring system throughout the site through to large scale projects such as IFA2 where we also supported on both the Greedfield and the National Grid side of the converter station.

As well as substation works we have also supported on Windfarm projects supporting with the electrical works carried out by the main contractor comprised of; installation of 33kV cables, installation of fibre optic cable, earthing of turbine bases, substation installation of switchgear, turbine transformers, SCADA control, termination of 33kV cables, installation of  LV power cabling into turbines from substations, building services installation, installation of harmonic filters, testing and commissioning of the complete installation

As well as substation works we also have experience of supporting with all other associated infrastructure such as OHL, Underground cabling and civil/ground work requirements.

From a skill set perspective we cover the full remit of professions (please see below) across DNO and none DNO authorised sites. We have an excellent working relationship with the DNO training centres which means we have the facility to book and pay for relevant substation access authorisation for our workers.

IT & Technology

More than ever IT and Technology is complimenting and changing the way people work and run our lives. Ordering food and drinks, booking holidays, sharing photos with family, taking cashless payments, sending mailshots to clients, even your central heating be remotely controlled, and usage analysed to make it more responsive and efficient.

Pretty much every business has at least one role which requires technical knowledge. In most business’ this is increasing and the roles becoming more specialised - we don't just have an ‘IT Department’ now.

What We Can Do

Glenelly RS can offer a depth of experience recruiting for all these new and different roles. We understand that our job is not just matching key words on a CV and a spec. The fit must be right, for both our candidates and clients.

That is why we take time to understand a requirement - what is essential for you, what is nice to have, and how the role fits in to your team.

In the same way we find out what our candidates' strengths are, what they are looking for in a new role, and the new skills they want to gain. Our IT recruitment service works in partnership with you to find the right person for your job and the right job for you the person.
